Victor and I have been traveling around Philadelphia capturing exceptional events and people. It’s been awhile since I had a camera in my hands, but covering these events has helped dust off the cobwebs. When it comes to media so much has changed, and I feel like I’m learning all over again. (Thank you YouTube tutorials!) I also have a great network of people who are there to teach me everything I need to make myself even better.
Everything looks wonderful, and editing tricks are getting a bit easier. I’m very excited to continue this creative adventure through the rest of the spring, and I know I’ll get better and better with time. Let me show you what I’ve done so far!
First off, Indy Hall has been so great to me over the past few months. I was fortunate enough to cover Indy Hall Arts’ Take What You Need art show earlier this month. This particular show took written excerpts from Adam Teterus and had 5 different artists create something based off of Adam’s words. It was a great show and I always like seeing work from Sean Martorana and Mike Jackson.
Everyone knows how much I love glitter and boobs–so it was only natural that I use my camera to document my favorite burlesque performers in the city. Hattie Harlowe’s budding burlesque career is kicking into overdrive, and I wanted to help. So, I saw her perform at Beauty + Brains / Burlesque + Variety earlier this month and I took some great photos of the event.
I also saw Hattie perform at Broad Street Burlesque‘s Beer and Burlesque. I put together a cute little teaser with some of my favorite footage. They produce this show every first Thursday! Don’t miss it. It’s a really great time. Don’t believe me? Watch the video.
I love filming these events, and I can’t wait to do more! Are you looking for someone to cover your next event? I know someone with a camera and a thirst for video production–and that person is ME!
